"To God be the glory, great things He has done.” In 2008 we can look back and praise the Lord for 50 years of Postal Bible School work. Ten years ago Bert Gray wrote this brief history. Since then Noel & Liza McMeekin have taken on the responsibility of the PBS work in the Republic of Ireland, apart from Co Donegal which is the responsibility of Joan Patterson. Bert & Wendy Gray continued with the publishing of the lessons and moved to live in Wales in 2000. From there Bert has been visiting Central and Eastern Europe where PBS work has been developing and thousands of young people are being reached. Sam & Louise Balmer are now responsible for the international work with Bert helping them. There are now twelve major Postal Bible Schools in Ireland and the UK. One in Canada, and several Worldwide. Postal Bible Schools and Emmaus work in partnership in many places. PBS lessons are for children and young people and Emmaus have many more advanced courses. Emmaus is a Bible Correspondence School, nondenominational in outreach and and founded for the purpose of encouraging the systematic study of the Word of God.
